the reason why people tell lies is not largely because they try to protect you from the truth. but rather, that the truth would turn the tables against them.

if someone ever does anything unaccepted by most, that hurts your reputation that goes against the most basic principles of integrity and trustworthiness.. would you continue accepting the person as a friend?

you know my answer- henceforth why i only keep a handful of friends. because i can’t stand to be hurt by people who do not know how to engage the brakes on even the most basic principles in the book of ethics.

  1. I’m happy that we’re all people with OVERFLOWING with integrity. That’s enough. :)

  2. Mmm but sometimes the tables would be turned against us for reasons we deem invalid. Sometimes we have to lie to protect our own feelings as well as others. Most often it’s in matters that really shouldn’t be of anyone else’s concern. IMO, anyway.

    :)
